Carl H. Cotton, of New Castle, passed away July 22, 2024, at Clen-Moore Place.

He was born in Akron, Ohio on March 26, 1928, to Charles and Ethel Cotton. After moving to New Castle, Pa, Carl earned a teaching degree from Slippery Rock, and taught at George Washington Junior High. Further studies at Westminster and the College of Insurance in New York, allowed him to advance his career where he worked at the Royal Insurance Company. Carl also served in the army for two years during the Korean War. Following a full career in Insurance, he retired to Deland, Florida in 1989, all the while, enjoying world travel, culture, antiques and the arts. Finally, Carl moved back to New Castle to be near his family until his final days.

He is survived by Barbara Cotton, his sister-in-law, nieces Deborah (Terry) DeMaria and Cathy Cotton. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Clayton, a brother Charles, two sisters, Helen Nunn and Cleola Burley.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
