Carol V. Chamberlain, age 81, of New Castle, passed away the evening of June 17, 2023, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born September 14, 1941, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Maxine (Morgan) Swanton.

Carol married her high school sweetheart, David Chamberlain, on June 9, 1962, recently celebrating 61 years of marriage.

While raising their three children, Carol enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother and later worked for American Greetings until her retirement.

A member of Wimodausis and the Neshannock Athletic Boosters, Carol enjoyed many years of attending her daughter's horse shows and also playing in card clubs with her friends.

In addition to her husband David, she is survived by one daughter, Laurel (Jim) Bauer of Sandy Lake; two sons, Scott (Gina) Chamberlain of Killingsworth, Connecticut and Todd (Stephanie) Chamberlain of New Castle; and four grandchildren, Steven Chamberlain, Julia Chamberlain, Dr. Danielle (Orin) Chamberlain-McMillen and Colton Chamberlain.

In keeping with her wishes, a private service will be held for the family at Graceland Cemetery Chapel.
