Carol R. Latshaw, age 80, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Sunnyview Home in Butler, PA.

Born August 25, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Betty (Mars) Welker. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vylus E. Latshaw, Jr., whom she married May 23, 1964.

After graduating from Mohawk High School, she earned her bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and made a career as a respiratory therapist for 30 years with Jameson Memorial Hospital.

Carol held membership in both the Ford Galaxy Club for over 20 years and also the Ford Fairlane Club. Among her other interests were sewing, quilting, car cruises and camping. She was a member of Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband Vylus, she is survived by one son, Richard E. Latshaw and two daughters, Lisa (Pat) Zarilla and Carrie Latshaw all of New Castle; a brother, Dan (Dee) Welker of New Bedford; one sister, Janet Donnek of North Carolina; and one grandson, Nicolas Zarilla.

A private graveside service will be held for the family at Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
