Caroline A. Berry, age 98, of Shenango Twp., passed away the morning of April 2nd, 2022, at her residence. Born April 11, 1923, in Raymilton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Arvilla (Vincent) McClelland. On May 25, 1946, she married her beloved husband, Walter A. Berry, who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1967. Caroline was a 1941 graduate of Lewisburg High School. After graduation, she went on to Business School and earned her Associate Degree. For several years, she was a licensed insurance agent employed by W.A. Berry Insurance Agency, working alongside her husband. Caroline was a past Matron of the Eastern Star #105, in New Castle, and held other offices there. She was a member of the Laurel School board for several years, enjoyed crocheting, baseball, and was active in her church, Evangel Community Church. What gave Caroline the most joy in life, was spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Waldene K. (Thomas) Drake of Mesa, AZ, and Janice L. (Hans) Pardick of New Castle, PA; one son, Walter A. Berry of Easton, MD; daughter-in-law, Alice Berry; close family friend, Heidi Drake; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Caroline was preceded in death by son, Ronald L. Berry, daughter-in-law, Janis Berry, one great granddaughter-in-law Yvonnka Drake, two sisters, Martha Miller and Jean Shearer and brother, Jack McClelland and one great-grandson, Nicholas Berry Lupinos. Family will receive guests on April 11th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Evangel Community Church, 1530 Harlansburg Road, New Castle PA, 16101. A Celebration of Life Service will take place immediately following visitation, at noon, with Pastor Harry Edenhofer, of Evangel Community Church, officiating. Private burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to Evangel Community Church, 1530 Harlansburg Road, New Castle PA, 16101.
