Caroll Ann Copper, age 79, of Union Township, passed away the afternoon of Nov. 5, 2021, at Northview Estates, in Ellwood City, PA. Born Oct. 19, 1942, in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Edna M. (Walker) Copper. Caroll was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University. For several years, Caroll taught second grade at Rose Avenue. She enjoyed flowers, church activities, and the time she spent with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Mark (Connie) Smith of New Castle, PA; one daughter, Shelley (Rick) Getic of New Castle, PA; two brothers, Brian L. (Judy) Copper and R. Jeff Copper, both of FL; three grandchildren Dustin (Ahleah Boise) Smith of West Virginia, Stephanie (Nick) Mazzant of New Castle, PA, and Casey Getic (Fiancé Johanna) of OH; and one great-grandson, Clark Mazzant of New Castle. Visitation will be held on Sat. Nov. 13th from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 984 W. Maitland Ln, New Castle, PA 16105. A service will take place immediately after visitation, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. John Yergan officiating. The family is strongly recommending that all guests in attendance wear face coverings.
