Carroll A. Smith, 81 of New Castle passed away on November 22, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on July 6, 1939 in Alexandria, Virginia, he was the son of Ashby and Violet (Payne) Smith. He married Bonnie L. (Boulden) Smith on July 26, 1963 whom survives at home. He was educated in Alexandria, Virginia and served time in the Virginia Army National Guard and later with the Pennsylvania National Guard for over 30 years. Carroll retired a Sergeant. Carroll was a former member of Grace Bible Church. He enjoyed spending time watching NASCAR races and professional wrestling. He was a member of NHRA & Rapid Tappets Car Club. Along with his wife, Bonnie, he is survived by one son, Michael (Amanda) Smith of New Castle; one daughter, Molly (Ron) Hennon of Wampum; one brother, James Martin (Nancy) Smith of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Madelyn Hennon, and Ahlyvia, Rhys, Holden, and Raiyne Smith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Smith. In keeping with Carroll's wishes there will be no visitation or service.
