Catherine Delores Slater Boots, 88, of Tampa, Florida, passed away December 20, 2014 in Florida. Born May 11, 1926 in Ellwood City, PA, she was a daughter of William and Goldie Wike McConahy. She was married to Ken Slater in 1946, who passed away in 1974. She subsequently married Ralph Boots in 1994, who passed away in 2014. Catherine retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Slater of Philadelphia; two sons, Ken (Sherry) Slater of New Castle, and Kirk (David) Slater of Tampa, Fl; one granddaughter, Jamie (Brian) Dickens of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Brayden Davies and Madison Dickens. In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen Carpenter, Ethel Gillespie, Claribell Bauder, Sadie Forsythe and Betty Beck; and two brothers, William McConahy and Raymond McConahy. There are no services planned, and a private burial was held.
