Charles W. Aslanes, age 69 of New Castle, passed away the evening of July 14, 2021, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born June 10, 1952, in New Castle, he was the son of Spero and Bessie (Marousis) Aslanes. Charles was a graduate of New Castle High School and Youngstown State University, with a degree in teaching. He was the owner of Fountain Restaurant and in his spare time, he enjoyed bowling. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Charles is survived by his mother, Bessie Aslanes and numerous cousins in the United States and Greece. In addition to his father, Charles was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; two aunts, Anna and Katherine and uncle, Constantinos "Gus" Marousis; and great uncles and aunts, William and Elizabeth and Speer and Mildred Marousis. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19th from 9:00 AM– 11:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 315 W. Englewood Ave, New Castle, PA. A service will follow immediately at 11:00 AM.
