Obituary

Charles H. Bud Boyer, age 80, passed away December 19, 2018, at his residence. Charles was the son to the late William H. and Dorthea Elva (Woodling) Boyer. He married Linda (Barker) Boyer, she survives at home. Mr. Boyer was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed by Universal Rundle and then went on to work for Devido Stone and Marble Company as a laborer. Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing. What gave him the most joy in life, was spending time with his family. Charles was a member of First Church of God. Along with his wife, Linda, Charles is survived by daughter; Susan (William)Horvath of Fort Worth, TX., daughter Deborah Schnurr of New Castle, two sons; Charles W. (Sally) Boyer and Todd Boyer, both of New Castle, one brother; Robert J. (Sally) of Florida, eight grandchildren; Brooke, Gayle, Bethany, Stephanie, Matthew, Kylee, Tyler, Jaden and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; William Boyer, one sister; Betty Mae Kriebel. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM and Saturday 10-11 AM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will be conducted on Saturday, December 22 at the funeral home, at 11:00 am with Rev. William Hunley of First Church of God, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, 12 W.
