Charles "Chuck" William Anderson, age 79 of Edinburg, passed away the evening of March 16, 2021, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born October 2, 1941, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Clyde Anderson and Gladys (Womer) Fields.
On May 15, 1981, he married his beloved wife of 39 years, Linda Marie (Ishman) Anderson. She survives at home.
Chuck was a fitter, retiring from Pennsylvania Engineering. He also worked at Graceland and Briar Hill Cemeteries. Chuck enjoyed the outdoors and loved to camp, fish and hunt. He was a member of the Mahoning Sportsman Association. What gave Chuck the most joy in life, was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Chuck is survived by two sons, Charles "Chuck" A. (Kaylie) Anderson of New Castle, PA, Scott (Heather) Anderson of Ellwood City, PA; two daughters, Nicole (Randall) Petrella of North Lima, OH, Amy Anderson of Edinburg, PA; one sister, Frances Ann (Jim) Stevens of Florida; eight grandchildren, Jocelyn, Nathan and Michael Anderson of New Castle, PA, Skylar and Haleigh Anderson of Ellwood City, PA, Madisson Anderson and Abigayle Petrella of North Lima, OH, and Brycen Anderson of Edinburg, PA.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Anderson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 22nd from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. All CDC guidelines will be in place in regard to wearing masks and social distancing. Due to the CDC Pennsylvania guidelines, there may be limited access due to room capacity.
There will be a private service for the family.
