Charles L. Hunt, 71, of 434 Shady Lane, passed away suddenly the afternoon of October 21, 2013 at his residence. Born July 28, 1942 in New Castle, he was a son of Harold and Lucille Eppinger Hunt. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jeanne Ann Kennedy Hunt, whom he married October 9, 1965. Mr. Hunt was a graduate of Laurel High School. He was employed with the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad as a conductor for 36 years until his retirement. Chuck, as he was referred, had tremendous love for his family. He also helped and cared for many others including friends and neighbors. His family gave him the title "family photographer" for his enjoyment in taking pictures at all their gatherings. In addition to his wife Jeanne, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Michael Capaldi of Easton, PA; one son, Jeffrey C. Hunt of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Richard Hunt of New Castle; one sister, Jane McAnany of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Mae Capaldi, Joel Capaldi and Charlie Capaldi. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Glenn, Donald and Larry Hunt. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, October 25, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at the funeral home and will be officiated by Michael Capaldi, son-in-law of Mr. Hunt. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
