Obituary

Charles H. Lockard, 87, formerly of W. Oakwood Way, passed away the afternoon of April 14, 2012 at Edison Manor.Born June 22, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Juliet Montique. He married Charlotte L. Fehl on March 19, 1948. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2009.He served his country faithfully as a member of the U.S. Navy for eight years. Chuck was employed by Universal Rundle as a glazier from 1968 until 1984 when he retired.He was a member of the Lodge of the Craft, Westminster Lodge 433 and the Tall Cedars.He also was a member of the former Second Presbyterian Church.He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Cubellis of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and Julie Lockard of Mishawaka, IN; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Miles of Warren, OH, and two granddaughters; Jennifer Hartman of Largo, FL and Marie Artim of St. Louis, MO.He was preceded in death by his wife.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., followed by a Masonic service and Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Nero will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
