Charles W. Pitzer, 88, of New Castle, passed away the morning of November 21, 2010 at his home.Born October 6, 1922, in New Castle, he was a son of Harry and Irene Cluse Pitzer. He married Margaret L. Snyder Pitzer on November 26, 1947. She preceded him in death on October 11, 1996. Charles served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a machinist on the USS Philadelphia.He worked for the B & O Railroad. He then went to work for Mesta Machine. Later Charles became employed by Delphi Packard Electric where he retired from in 1987. Charles was a member of in the Kingdom Hall of New Castle.He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Snyder and Pam Aeppli, both of New Castle; two sons, Thomas Pitzer and Darrell Pitzer, both of New Castle; two brothers, Harry D. Pitzer Jr., of New Castle, and Keith Pitzer of Florida; a sister, Marlene Davis, of New Castle, and two grandchildren, Dr. Nicole Snyder-Lee and Brandy Snyder.In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by a son, Charles Pitzer; a sister, Naomi Magee; and two brothers, Gayle Pitzer and Clayton Pitzer.There will be no visitation or service.Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall, 2020 Willow Way Drive, New Castle, PA 16101.
