Charles "Scott" Smail, 58, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, November 20, 2021, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born November 12, 1963, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Charles Michael and Ruth Ann (Richards) Smail. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tammy (Harlan) Smail, whom he married May 4, 1985. Scott was a 1982 graduate of Laurel High School. He was employed for 11 years with Cranberry Supply as a truck driver. He enjoyed farming and tinkering in his garage. He was a member of Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church. Also surviving are his children, a daughter, Brandy Smail of New Castle and son, Wayne Smail of New Galilee, PA; and one sister, Barb (John) Morgan of New Castle. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
