Obituary

Charles S. Turk, Jr., age 75, of New Castle, passed away September 13, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born July 9, 1950, in New Castle, he was the son of Charles S. Turk, Sr. and Stella (Boron) Turk.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan I. (Funk) Turk, whom he married June 13, 1970.

Mr. Turk was most recently employed with LTV Steel in the pipe mill until his retirement. He enjoyed watching his favorite shows on television, especially Judge Judy, Forensic Files and several western TV shows and loved watching the animals outside his home scurry around. Most of all, he loved the time spent with his family, especially his great nephew, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Brandi Lykins and husband Chris of New Castle; two sons, Charles S. Turk, III and wife Dana of New Wilmington and John P. Turk of New Castle; one sister, Laurie Seaborn and husband John of New Castle; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately after visitation Thursday at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Max Bungard of New Castle Bible Church officiating.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
