Charlotte J. Hogue, 84, of Edinburg, passed away August 14, 2017 at Jameson Care Center. Born in New Castle, Charlotte was the daughter of James David Miles and Mildred Brown Miles. She was preceded in death on May 21, 2004 by her husband of 55 years, Robert L. Hogue, Sr., whom she married on September 15, 1948. She attended New Castle High School and was a homemaker. Among her many interests, Charlotte enjoyed bowling, taking bus trips, and going to the Casinos. She is survived by one daughter, Cindy (Patrick) Bockino of Naples, FL; three sons, Robert L. Hogue, Jr. of Edinburg, William (Kay) Hogue of Pulaski, and Raymond Hogue of Hubbard, OH; one sister, Mildred Dolly Roberts of New Castle; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Raymond Miles, and one sister, Ruth Abernathy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. Service to follow at 4:00 with the Rev. Daniel Hardy of Allegheny Wesleyan College in Salem, Ohio officiating. Interment will be in Savannah Cemetery.
