Charlotte Sara Kegarise, 95, formerly of Blossom Lane, passed away the morning of July 31, 2012 at Shenango Presbyterian SeniorCare in New Wilmington, PA.Born May 18, 1917 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Jesse Edward and Martha Jane Eakin Carr.She married Alfred Kegarise on September 5, 1938. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2007.Charlotte was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked line dancing and was a member of Eastern Star and Wimodausis.Charlotte was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Richard Honaker of Ellicott City, MD, Carol and Larry Loth and Patricia and Wesley Tharpe all of New Castle; five grandchildren, Susan (Phillip) Vargo of New Castle, Julee (Jeff) Knight of Youngsville, NC, Todd (Theresa) Tharpe of Philadelphia, Adam (Shelbey) Tharpe of New Castle, and Matthew (Rebecca) Honaker of Baltimore, MD; and five great-grandchildren, Phillip Vargo, Emilee Vargo, Lauren Knight, Kaitlyn Knight and Abigail Tharpe.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Carr and two sisters, Ruth Ostrowski and Gladys Patterson.Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012, from 11:00 - 1:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Andrew Jillson will officiate.
