Cheryl C. Paglia, age 75, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of March 18, 2024, at Avalon Place.

Born June 23, 1948, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Maxine (Sweet) Lundeen.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joseph C. Paglia, whom she married January 27, 1973.

A 1966 graduate of Neshannock High School, she furthered her education at Slippery Rock University, graduating in 1970.

Cheryl gained employment as an elementary science teacher with the Laurel School District for 34 years until her retirement in 2004. A long-time member of First Baptist Church, she was able to participate in and enjoy many church mission trips.

Among her varied interests, she enjoyed scrapbooking, playing the flute and travel. Most enjoyable to her was vacationing with family and friends and any opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Carl (Richelle) Paglia of New Castle; one brother, Carl "Cook" (Bernie) Lundeen of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Gianna, Joey and Vinny Paglia; three nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Wells officiating.
