Cheryl Noreen Tremmel, age 71, of New Castle, was promoted to her heavenly home the morning of May 29, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born August 25, 1948, in New Castle, she was the daughter of William F. and Sarah (Curry) Hardy, Sr. On May 6, 1972, she married Norman Wayne Tremmel, who recently proceeded her to heaven on May 21, 2020. Cheryl was a graduate of Mohawk High School. She was a homemaker who loved crafting doll houses and baby dolls, crocheting blankets and clothes, growing plants, and handmaking USA flags. An active member of Victory Christian Center, Coitsville Campus, Cheryl, along with her late husband Norman, were official children leaders. Cheryl was also involved in the card and meal ministry. Survivors include Cheryl's mother, Sarah Hardy of New Castle; two sons, Bryan W. Tremmel and Jon W. Tremmel, both of New Castle; two brothers, Larry Hardy and Jeffrey Hardy (Jill), both of New Castle, and five sisters, Mary Beth Weis (Larry) of New Castle, Frances Rogers of New Castle, Sue Izzo (Brian) of Concord, Ohio, Marsha Park (John) of Henderson, NV, Earla Hardy of New Castle, and one sister-in-law, Christy Hardy of New Castle. Along with her husband, Norman, Cheryl was preceded in death by her father and one brother William Hardy, Jr. There will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Ministry of Victory Christian Center, Coitsville Campus, or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
