Chester R. Fobes, age 70, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of May 18, 2024, at Quality Life Services – New Castle.

Born July 6, 1953, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Betty (Derr) Fobes.

Chester was a graduate of Laurel High School. For several years, he worked in the maintenance department, at Westminster College. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Chester was active in the Lawrence County Care Center and enjoyed the time he spent with his beloved brother, Charles (Jill) Fobes, who survives in New Castle. He was a member of the Eastbrook United Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by an infant sister.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
