Christopher Robert McConnell, 34, of New Castle, passed away the evening of August 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born on February 26, 1986 in New Castle to Charles (Rob) McConnell and Tina (Cavota) Mehalic who both survive. Chris was an avid ATV rider. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, but most importantly, his daughter Aleeah. Chris was a 2005 graduate of Laurel High School. He was a millwright at Pittsburgh Bakery Equipment Company until his passing. In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his Fiance' Ariel Prosser and their daughter Aleeah; step-father Mark Mehalic; paternal grandmother Veva McConnell; aunts and uncles Cheryl (Steve) Meador, Frank McConnell, Ed (Cindy) McConnell; cousins Brad Meador, David Levi McConnell, Brandi McConnell, Jessica McConnell, Loren McConnell, Justin McConnell, Lani and Brandon Crawford; Ariel's family and extended family, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Naomi (Marie) Cavota and his paternal grandfather Frank McConnell. There will be no visitation. A private service will be held for the family at their convenience. Arrangements are being handled by the R.
