Clair F. Boak, age 91 of New Castle, passed away the morning of February 21, 2019, in UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on September 2, 1927, he was the son to the late Edward and Anna (Weiss) Boak. On June 4, 1960 he married his beloved wife Grace E. (Weigle) Boak. She preceded him in death on February 26, 1999. Mr. Boak served his country in the United States Army. He worked at GE Grove City as a machinist, until his retirement. Clair enjoyed hunting and making apple cider. He was a member of New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Clair is survived by one son; David Boak of Huntsville Alabama and one sister; Joanna Schiedemantle of Ellwood City, PA. In addition to his parents and wife, Clair was preceded in death by one brother; Jim Boak and one sister; Roberta Houk. In keeping with Clair's wishes there will be no visitation and services for family and close friends will be held Wednesday February 27, 2019 starting at 12:00 PM, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, where Pastor Chris Curtis will be officiating. Those attending are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior.
