Clara P. Zona, 91, of Plimpton Place, passed away the afternoon of February 21, 2011 in Jameson Care Center. Born April 13, 1919 in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of Carmen and Carlotta Regna DiScorpio. She married Charles F. Zona on June 27, 1946. He preceded her in death.She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vitus Church.Clara was involved with various card clubs, the St. Vitus Ladies Guild, and enjoyed playing bingo at Challenges.She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Edward Hartje; two grandsons, Edward Hartje and Elliot Hartje; one great-grandson, Anthony Charles; and one niece, Rudelle and Frank Battista.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony "Rudy" Ellery, and one half-sister, Elizabeth Zarilla.Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vitus Church to begin at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Father John Petrarulo will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Resurrection Mausoleum.
