Clarence D. "Pat" Brown, 88, of New Castle, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

Born in Carmichaels, PA, Pat was the son of the late Leonard F. and Mary A. (Gosline) Brown. He was a graduate of Carmichaels High School, and earned a Bachelor's Degree from California University of Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree from Westminster College. Pat was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving in Germany. He then began his 31 year career as an Industrial Arts teacher at Shenango High School, retiring in 1991. Pat also enjoyed operating motor coaches for Butler Motor Transit/Coach USA for over 20 years. He always treasured time with family, especially the annual beach vacations.

Pat was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, New Castle, and was previously a long-time member of Third Presbyterian Church, having served as Deacon and Elder.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brothers Leonard L. and Kenneth C. Brown.

Pat is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, the former Mary "Madge" Rihn, daughters Kathleen (Timothy) Leber of Myersville, MD, Tammy (Edward) Ecker of Allison Park, PA, Nanette (Michael) Croll of Milford, PA, son Patrick (Lori) Brown of Pittsburgh, PA, and dearly loved by grandchildren Brent and Bryce Leber, Patrick Ecker and Edward Ecker, Joshua, Seth and Shannon Croll, and Kayla and Noah Brown.

Friends will be received from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM., with a memorial service at 3:00 PM, on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, 16105. The Rev. Dr. Jordan Rimmer will officiate. Interment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens, New Castle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2434 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105.
