Clarence Gamble, 81, of 1156 Kings Chapel Road, New Castle, died the afternoon of May 29, 2010 in UPMC Passavant Hospital.Born March 12, 1929 in New Castle, he was a son of Harvey and Julie Genvese Gamble. He married Anne Dudzensky on September 17, 1951. She preceded him in death on October 26, 2006. They were married over fifty years.Clarence was in the U.S. Army during WWII.He was employed by Pullman Standard as a welder.Clarence enjoyed fishing at Pymatuning Lake and caring for his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.He is survived by one daughter, Cassie Schleich and her fiance Bill Powell of New Castle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Chung Gamble and Douglas and Debbie Gamble all of New Castle; one sister, Jen Alterie of Florida; two great aunts, Josephine Lombardo and Sylvia Ryan of New Castle; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.There will be a private service held at the convenience of the family.Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
