Clayton H. Cotton, 84, of New Castle, passed away the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at his residence. Born March 26, 1928 in Akron, OH, he was the son of Charles and Ethel Wallick Cotton.Clayton married Barbara Green on March 27, 1948. She survives. He graduated from New Castle High School in Jan. 1946. Clayton was a self employed television repairman. A member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, feeding birds and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Debi and Terry DeMaria of Hermitage and Cathy A. Cotton of New Castle; his twin brother, Carl H. Cotton of New Castle; two granddaughters and their spouses, Amanda and Aaron Berg of Greenville, SC and Katie and Jason Currie of Greenville, SC; and four great grandsons of Greenville, SC. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles Cotton; and two sisters, Helen Nunn and Cleola Burley. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2013 at the funeral home. The Rev. Andrew Jillson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Care Center Angel Fund of Sharon Regional Hospital, 2320 Highland Road, Hermitage, PA 16148 or the Sharon Regional Health System Hospice Palliative Care, 2320 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.
