Constance 'Connie' M. Ferrante, age 89 of New Castle, passed away the early morning of March 6, 2025, at The Grove – New Wilmington.
Born Nov. 5, 1935, in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Elda (Booher) Ewing.
On June 13, 1959, she married her beloved husband of 65 years, James 'Jim' F. Ferrante. He survives at home.
Connie was a 1953 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, cooking, bird watching and puzzles. Connie had a sweet and kind demeanor and made everyone feel like a friend. She will always be remembered for the love she had for the Lord and her family. She was a faithful member of First Assembly of God.
Along with her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lorrie (Mike) Balka of St. Croix USVI, and Brenda (Dan) Nero of Grove City, PA; one sister, Terri (Paul) Ferguson of Jackson, MI; three grandchildren, Kayla (Tyler) Scanlon of Prospect, KY, Patrick Nero of Grove City, PA, and Eric Nero of Groton, CT; and two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Cruz.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by three brothers, William D. Ewing, Ronald C. Ewing, Robert H. Ewing and one sister, Carol J. Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at First Assembly of God, 2021 Pulaski Road, New Castle, PA 16105.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation, at the church at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Stephen DeSantis officiating.
Burial will be at Clinton Cemetery.
