Cynthia Shaffer, 63, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 1, 2020 at her residence. Born October 14, 1956 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Merle L. and Alice May (Brest) Gallaher. A homemaker, Cynthia loved playing dice and cards, working puzzles and baking. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Shaffer of New Castle; one brother, Tommy Quear; two sisters, Vickie Miles and Deanna Maggio; and two grandchildren, Kennidy and Shayna all of New Castle. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sharon Gallaher; and one brother, LaVerne Merle Gallaher, Jr. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
