D. Nadiene Ward, 80, of Ashberry Lane, New Castle, passed away December 31, 2011 at Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle.Nadiene was born December 10, 1931 in New Castle to the late Herbert and Voila Murphy Ward.She graduated from New Castle High School in 1949. Nadiene then began her working career with Bell of Pennsylvania, later transfering to South Central Bell in Louisville, Kentucky. There she retired after 40 years of service to Bell.She enjoyed photography and loved to travel.Nadiene is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and James Mutter, Carol and Fred Harlan, all New Castle; one niece, Sharon Ross of New Castle; three nephews, Jeff Mutter, Fred Harlan and Scott and Brenda Harlan also of New Castle.Nadiene was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Wilmington Road, New Castle.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. New Castle, conducted by Rev. Jodie Barron Smith. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the City Rescue Mission 319 S.
