Dale Lee Snyder, age 77, of New Castle, PA, passed away the evening of Jan. 4, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Born Nov. 10, 1947, in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Hetzel and Edith (Stevens) Snyder.

He was married to Dawn Snyder, who preceded him in death.

Dale was a 1965 graduate of Keyser High School. He faithfully served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Baltimore City Police, as a K9 officer, for 26 years until his retirement.

Fishing, golfing, traveling to Florida, and keeping up with current events were some of Dale's favorite hobbies. What he treasured the most in life, was spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Dale was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Amanda Cope of Sharpsville, PA; son-in-law, John Cope of Hubbard, OH; two brothers, Eugene Snyder of New Castle, PA, and Marshall Snyder of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister-in-law, Diane Snyder of Wexford, PA; and five grandchildren, Camden, Emelia, Jolene, Lydia and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Reed and two brothers, Gary and James Snyder.

In keeping with his wishes there will be a private burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
