Dana Ellis Polding, age 93, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Friday, July 28, 2023, at Quality Life Services in Grove City.

Born April 10, 1930, in New Castle, he was a son of Harry and Sarah (Schuler) Polding.

Dana was preceded in death on May 14, 2009, by his wife of 55 years, Gaylene S. (Deiger) Polding, whom he married September 6, 1953.

Dana was employed at First National Bank as a bank officer as well as a real estate agent with McBurney and Company. He enjoyed several years after retirement as a private mortgage broker.

Among his many interests, he liked traveling, singing and golf. An active member of First Alliance Church, he was a former treasurer and song leader.

He is survived by his three sons, Kevin (Victoria) Polding of New Castle, Bruce (Susan) Polding of Slippery Rock and Brian (Brenda Rae) Polding of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Ruth Kennedy of New Castle; four grandchildren, Steven Polding, Sean Polding, Stefanie Boltz and Brittany Kurek; and five great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Harrison, Chase, Braidin and Hayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and nine brothers and sisters.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services at this time.
