Daniel W. Davis, age 55, of New Castle, passed away on Sept. 7, 2019. Born Jan. 1, 1964, in New Castle, he was the son of the late James and Josephine (English) Davis. He and Marla Jessell Ott have been married for nine years. She survives at home. Daniel became a carpenter, with his father. After his carpentry, he was a truck driver and loved driving for Homan Transportation. He enjoyed woodworking and was also a vivid fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. What gave Daniel the most joy in life, was spending time with his family. Along with his wife, Marla, Daniel is survived by four step-daughters, Brianna Bailey of Italy; Olivia, Sarah and Amanda Ott, of all New Castle; two brothers, Ralph Hedglin and Doug Davis; two sisters Caroline Gregory and Jaymie Davis; and three step-grandchildren, Robby, Evelyn and Scarlett Bailey. Preceding him in death are his parents and one sister Barbara. In keeping with Daniel's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
