Daniel A. Gaibis, age 53, of New Castle passed away on November 23, 2016 at UPMC Jameson emergency room. Born in New Castle on December 10, 1962, he was a son of David P. and Jacqueline Trott Gaibis. In 1981 he graduated from Shenango High School. For 18 years he was employed at Resco Products, Inc., where he was an inspector. He loved his family, enjoyed golfing, coached baseball, and was a member of St. Joseph Church. Besides his parents, Daniel is survived by three daughters, Kayla (Joshua) Pounds, Gina Gaibis, Rachel Gaibis; one son and his fiance, Dominick Gaibis and Leighann Bartholomew, all of New Castle; one brother, David (Julie) Gaibis, Jr. of New Castle; two sisters, Jackie (Henry) Perna of Pulaski, and Dana (Ricky) Rylott of New Castle; three grandchildren, Joshua, Mariyah, and Colton; and two nephews, Jakob and Nikolas Rylott. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Perina Ostrowski, Carl Gaibis, and Mary and Frank Trott; and one sister, Lisa Gaibis. A private service was held. Arrangements have been entrusted to R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
