Daniel 'Dan' M. Ludwig, age 70 of New Wilmington, passed away Oct. 12, 2021, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born April 23, 1951, in New Castle, He was the son of the late James and Doris (LeGendre) Ludwig. On Aug. 19, 1972, he married his beloved wife of 49 years, Kathy (Fisher) Ludwig. She survives at home. Dan was a 1971 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech and then went on to attend YSU. He worked as a pipeline supervisor, retiring from Mid-Ohio Pipeline. Dan was a snowbird who enjoyed boating, bowling, and bingo. He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan, but what gave him the most joy in life, was being a Papa. Dan attended Wayside Emmanuel Church. Survivors include two daughters, Danielle Ludwig of New Wilmington, PA, and Heather (Craig) List of Neshannock Twp.; one son, Daniel 'D.J.' (Marie) Ludwig of Neshannock Twp.; two sisters, Suzy (Tom) Soroka of Hershey, PA, and Debbie (Joe) Delliquadri of Brookville, PA; one brother, Robert Ludwig of Altoona, PA; nine grandchildren, Alanna, Savannah, Caiden, Sadie, Zander, Holly, Brynn, Noah, and Holden. Visitation will be held on Sat. Oct. 16 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will follow immediately at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Bryan Warner officiating. Memorial contributions may be offered to Wayside Emmanuel Church, 4437 Mitchell Road, New Castle, PA 16105.
