Obituary

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

Daniel Lee Neal of Canfield passed away on Tuesday June 25 at 11:47PM peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle.

Born on April 10, 1950, in New Castle PA, to Elsie and Leon Neal. He was a 1968 Graduate of Mohawk High School. Daniel joined the Navy after graduation. He was in the submarine division aboard the "Henry L. Stimson, stationed in Holy Loch, Scotland. He was discharged in 1972. He then went to work for Youngstown Hard Chrome where he worked until his retirement.

Daniel married Sherill Fennell on September 16, 1986. He enjoyed bike riding and traveling. Daniel had a love of the ocean and enjoyed spending time at his home in Florida.

Daniel was very active in local churches. He truly had a servant's heart.

Daniel and Pastor Sherill attended Touch Heaven Ministries.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Sherill Neal. A son Marc (Courtney) Neal of Abilene Tx. Grandchildren Zachary Crist of Struthers Ohio, Haley Harding of Volant PA, Trevor and Wyatt Neal of Abilene Tx. A brother Tom (Becky) Neal and a sister Bobbie (Tom) Pratt both from Edinburg PA. Daniel will be greatly missed by his mother-in-law Mary Fennell, Wanda Clay, Brenda Guido (Mark) Charlene Ondrey (Michael). He will also be missed by his beloved dog Toby.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Leon Neal and a daughter Tammy Harding.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A Celebration of life will be held immediately following the visitation, at 12:00 PM. Pastor Frank Amedia of Touch Heaven Ministries will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
