Daniel Ryan, 56, of New Castle, passed away on January 24, 2013 in New Castle. Born November 15, 1956, in New Castle, he was a son of Anthony Ryan, Sr., and Alda Giaone Ryan. He is survived by his loving wife, Cecelia Ann Grimes Ryan, whom he married July 11, 2004.He was a graduate of New Castle High School and attended Youngstown State University. Danny was employed as a driver for the United Parcel Service. He enjoyed gardening and cooking and had a great admiration for nature. He loved the time he spent with his family. He was Catholic. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and her husband, Danielle and Ryan Callahan of Pittsburgh; a son, Brandon Ryan of Myrtle Beach, SC; two step-daughters, Miranda DeGarmo and husband Patrick of Pittsburgh and Kayla Fee of New Castle; one brother, Albert Ryan and wife Margie of New Castle; two sisters, Elaine Mally and husband Kent of New Castle and Marline Wheatley of Copley, OH; and one grandson, Parker Ryan Callahan. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Anthony Ryan, Jr.; a sister, Delores Ryan; and a brother-in-law, Jack Wheatley. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A Blessing Service will take place immediately following visitation Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Father Thomas Lewandowski of St. Camillus Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
