Danny Lee Reiter, age 75 of New Castle, passed away the evening of Aug. 12, 2025, at Providence Health Care & Rehab, in Beaver Falls.

Born Jan 3, 1950, in Ellwood City, PA, he was the son of the late Henry Reiter and Gladys Powell.

On Sept. 23, 1973, he married his beloved wife of 51 years, Katherine Jane (Oprean) Reiter. Mrs. Reiter survives at home.

A life-long resident of New Castle, Danny worked at Castleview Memorial Gardens Cemetery before becoming the manager at Green Lawn Cemetery in Butler, PA. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved coaching and umpiring for Shenango Little League. What mattered most to Danny in life, was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five sons, Sean (Kimberly) Reiter of New Castle, PA, James Reiter (Robert Brown) of Hermitage, PA, Adam (Amy) Reiter of New Castle, PA, Jeremiah (Trisha) Reiter of Pulaski, PA, and Andrew (Deborah) Reiter of Boardman, OH; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Eric Lee.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, Aug. 18th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
