Darlene A. Shaw, 78, of New Castle, passed away the night of February 2, 2016 at Edison Manor. Born February 12, 1937 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Victor and Nancy V. Fusco Sarbo. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward T. Shaw, whom she married on May 24, 1957. Darlene loved being a homemaker, taking care of her husband and her children. Some of her greatest memories were of traveling with family and often visiting Disney World. She was proud of the fact that she and her mother graduated together from Youngstown State University. Darlene loved cooking and baking and often shared her generosity through preparing meals or baked goods for others. She was an active member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, Darlene is survived by three children, Thomas and his wife Tomasina Shaw of New York, her husband Edward's son by a previous marriage, Matthew E. and his wife Rena Shaw of South Carolina, and Victoria Shaw of Ohio; one grandson, Ian Shaw, one granddaughter, Maryalice Shaw Buffington; and three great-grandsons, Taylor, Tyler, & Tucker Buffington. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gerald Sarbo. A private memorial service will be held with the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
