Darrell C. Brightshue, 56, of 712 E. Meyer Avenue, New Castle, died the afternoon of September 27, 2010 in Jameson Memorial Hospital.Born October 10, 1953 in New Castle, he was a son of Merle and Jessie Mitcheltree Brightshue.He was a 1971 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech. He was the caretaker of Oak Park Cemetery for twenty three years.Darrell enjoyed being on his computer and spending time with his family.He is survived by one daughter, Danielle M. Brightshue of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Merle Brightshue, Jr. and Gary Brightshue both of New Castle; two sisters, Dori Moyer and Mary E. Shoaff both of New Castle.He was preceded in death by his parents.At the family's request, there will be no service at this time.
