Darrell C. Hill, age 69, of Scott Twp., passed away the afternoon of July 9, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 20, 1953, in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of the late Lizzie (Moser) Hill. On July 20, 1985, Darrell married his beloved wife 36 years, Wilma (Allison) Hill. She survives at home. Darrell was a graduate of Shenango High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines, during Vietnam. For several years, Darrell worked as a mechanic and a truck driver. He was a state constable for Scott Township and served as the Vice President of the Scott Township Fire Department. Darrell loved working on cars and was an avid Harley Davidson fan. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. He attended City Church. In addition to his wife, Darrell is survived by two sons, Gary (Penny) Crawford of New Castle, PA, and Mike (Corrina) Crawford of New Wilmington, PA; his siblings, Jessie Brownlee of Ohio, Chuck (Yvonne) Hill of Ellwood, City, PA, and Nettie Deitch of Wellsville, OH; five grandchildren, Alyssa (Nate) Miller of New Wilmington, PA, Ashlee Crawford of New Castle, PA, Lexi (Alex) Patton of New Wilmington, PA, Gary Crawford, Jr., of New Castle, PA, and Makenzie Crawford of New Castle, PA; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia Miller, Ryker Patton, and Michael Miller. In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by a brother. Visitation will be held on Thurs. July 14th, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will be held immediately after visitation, on Thursday at the funeral home, at 7:00 PM with Pastor Josh Watts officiating and the New Castle Area Honor Guard preforming military rites.
