David W. Joki, 76, of 1118 Carr Street, New Castle, passed away the evening of October 5, 2010 in Jameson Hospital.Born December 2, 1933 in New Castle, he was a son of Eli and Ida Lampi Joki. David married Lois M. Bowden on January 24, 1969. She survives in New Castle.He was a 1951 graduate of Shenango High School.David worked in the mold shop at Universal Rundle. He was a member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church where he was a trustee.David enjoyed hunting, golfing and bowling.In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, Edwin Joki of Elizabeth, PA and one sister, Elsie Yakubik of Youngstown, OH.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Elmer Joki and two sisters, Helen Moncrief and Martha Miller.Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, 2010, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Neshannock Presbyterian Church, 154 Fairground Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be held Friday, October 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Gary Waguespack will officiate.
