David A. Kusnierz, 56, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of August 19, 2017 at The Grove at New Wilmington. David was born on May 26, 1961, in New Castle, to Edward and Antoinette "Toni" Rzepka Kusnierz. Mr. Kusnierz was the co-owner of Builder's Plus Construction. He was a member of the Slovak Club, Polish Falcons and the Boy Scouts of America. David had a passion for woodworking, was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh fan and attended St. Vincent DePaul Parish. Mr. Kusnierz is survived by his mother, Toni Kusnierz; his loving companion, Beth DoVidio; one daughter, Jessica L. Kusnierz; one son, Brandon M. Kusnierz, both of New Castle; one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Mary Kusnierz of Laurel, MD; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Robert Shope of Greensburg, PA and his former wife, Lynda Kusnierz. David was preceded in passing by his father. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at 11:00 AM Father Zach Galiyas will officiate. Processional will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place in St. Phillips and James Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Three Rivers Hospice or The Alzheimer's Association.
