David S. Roudabush, 74, of 802 Frank Avenue, passed away the morning of February 28, 2010 in Jameson Hospital.Born June 12, 1935 in New Castle, he was the son of Kermit W. and Grace Bruce Roudabush.He married Ruth A. Eckman Roudabush on October 8, 1954. She survives in New Castle.Mr. Roudabush was a machine operator with Pentex and worked in the maintenance department of Bruce & Merrilees. He managed the lawn service during the summers at Blair Strip Steel for fifty three years.He enjoyed taking nature walks and was a member of Arlington Avenue Free Methodist Church.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws; Ruth and James Hockenberry of Daytona, Fl and Carol and Paul Lauderbaugh of New Castle; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Roudabush of New Castle; two brothers, Harold Roudabush of Fayetteville, ARK and Paul Roudabush of Arkansas; three sisters, Esther Reed of Missouri and Gladys Michaels and Betty Jackson both of Arkansas; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter and one brother, Donald Roudabush.Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 3, 2010, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Chuck Jewell and Pastor John Fraser will officiate.
