Della M. Dunsieth, 75, of Clen-Moore Blvd., New Castle, passed away the night of May 31, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born July 3, 1940 in Rochester, Pa., she was the daughter of Phillip C. Sciaretta and Josephine Lovrekovic. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Neal W. Dunsieth, Sr., whom she married on May 23, 1964. After her graduation from Freedom Area High School in 1959, Della attended the Jameson School of Nursing, graduating in 1962. She was employed with Jameson Hospital as an operating room nurse from 1962 until her retirement in 2009. Della served as a volunteer with the Lawrence County Blind Association, and also cared for many of her former classmates from nursing school. She was also a member of the Jameson Shenango Alumni Association. Among her interests, Della enjoyed cooking as well as traveling, especially to see her family. She attended St. Camillus Church. In addition to her husband Neal, she is survived by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Dunsieth of Cincinnati, Ohio and Susan Marie Dunsieth of New Castle; one son, Dr. Neal W. Dunsieth, Jr. and his wife Beth of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, David Sciaretta of Texas and Dominico Sciaretta of North Lima, OH; one sister, Helen Sciaretta of Cleveland, OH; and two grandchildren, Isabella Dunsieth and Logan Downer. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Sciaretta. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A private blessing service will be held for the family.
