Delores J. McClenahan, age 97, formerly of Union Township, passed away the evening of September 19, 2023, at Quality Life Services in New Castle.

Born June 6, 1926, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Harry and Clara (Brewster) Kennedy. Delores was preceded in death on August 14, 2009, by her husband of 63 years, Dale McClenahan, whom she married June 26, 1946.

Delores, along side her husband, were the owners of McClenahan RV Center where she was the bookkeeper.

Together her and her husband Dale enjoyed traveling in their RV. They especially enjoyed their home at Conneaut Lake. In addition to boating, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Gary (Carol) McClenahan of Edinburg; a son-in-law, Dennis Knox of Ponce Inlet, Florida; two grandchildren, Ryan (Errin) McClenahan and Cory (Samantha) McClenahan; and one great- grandchild, Chase McClenahan.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Knox and one brother, Ronald Kennedy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, from 11:00-12:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately after the visitation Wednesday at 12:00 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jordan Rimmer officiating.

Mrs. McClenahan will be laid to rest beside her husband at Oak Park Cemetery.
