Dennis R. Stone, 81, of New Castle passed away peacefully at his home June 16, 2020, surrounded by those who love him. He was born October 21, 1938, the son of Walter and Gwen Frew Stone. He married the former Leslie Brownlee in 1985. Dennis was a 1956 graduate of New Castle High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. He served the City of New Castle as a Firefighter for 40 years. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael G. and Terrence J. Stone. Survivors include his wife Leslie; daughter Jennifer (Steven) Armstrong of Drexel, PA; son William Stone of Toronto, Ohio; granddaughter Reese Clare Armstrong; a sister-in-law Deborah Stone of Crofton, MD; along with several nieces and nephews. Dennis loved spending much of his time outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He always maintained a beautiful garden. He held most dear to his heart the time he spent traveling with his family. The family wishes to give thanks to Allegheny Hospice for their valiant care. Everyone of them were amazing.
