Detlef E. "Eb" Seeger, Jr., age 87, of New Castle, passed away July 7, 2026, at his residence.

Born to the late Detlef E. and Evelyn Seeger on Nov. 2, 1938.

Known as Eb by his family and friends. Eb worked for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Co., Met Life, owned and operated Dan-Dee potato chip franchise, Dracket Products, Co., Reliable Lumber & Supply Co., and was part owner of Eb & Nancy's Sportsman Lounge with longtime friend, Nancy Hobel.

He was also the owner and operator of Shasta II fishing charter on Lake Erie. Eb was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was very active as a volunteer for the PA Fish & Boat Commission. He loved going to the Georgian Bay in Canada on fishing trips. Eb was past Exalted Ruler of Elks Club, Past President of Eintracht Singing Society.

He was preceded in death by his father Detlef, mother Evelyn, one sister, Kathryn Elliot.

Surviving are two daughters Susan (Stu) Kessler, Marcie Reinhard, one son, Douglas Seeger; one sister, Carol Stole, five grandchildren Ashley, Douglas Jr., Christopher, Morgan, and Justin; and ten great grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
