Obituary

Diana Lynn Rogers, 66, of New Castle, passed away at her residence the afternoon of January 25, 2026.

Born July 19, 1959, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Richard and Shirley (Dripps) Fassinger.

Diana was a 1977 graduate of New Castle High School and completed a two-year medical assistant program at Youngstown State University. Her education led her to employment with the Allegheny Health Network for 12 years until retiring in 2013. In addition to being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she held membership in the American Association of Medical Assistants and the Ohio State Society of Medical Assistants where she held several offices, including past president. Diana received several awards for her accomplished informative writings regarding the many aspects of medical assistants.

In addition to her many interests, she enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and reading. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Samantha (Peter) Petrides of New Castle; one son, Bill (Missy) Rogers of Edinburg; one brother, Richard Fassinger of Scottsdale, AZ; four grandchildren, Brayden Rogers, Taryn Rogers, Mason Kilgore and Mya Kilgore; and one great granddaughter, Amelia Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 30, at 1:30 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., of New Castle with Pastor Michael Spicuzza officiating.

Burial will be in Castle View Cemetery.
