Obituary

Dianna B. Brenneman, age 79, of New Wilmington passed away the afternoon of December 26, 2016 at Jameson Care Center. Born in Ellwood City on December 6, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Curtis G. and Dorothy L. Winterbottom Brown. After her mother passed away, she was raised by her step-mother, Elva Vogler Brown. She resides in Zelienople. On May 23, 2003 she married David B. Brenneman, who preceded her in death on March 8, 2013. In 1955, Dianna graduated from Shenango High School. For 32 years she was employed as a service representative for Bell Telephone/Verizon. Prior to that she worked for Bellco Credit Union where she served on the board of directors as the secretary. Her many interests included photography, painting, gardening, traveling, and ancestry.com. She won the Ellwood City Arts Show one year with her painting. She was president of PA Telephone Guild; regional president of CWA (Communication Workers of America); treasurer of Winfield Commons Association; and a member of First Assembly of God. Survivors include her stepmother; one daughter, Susan Dietrich of New Castle; two step children, Lester (Linda) McCracken of Edinboro, PA and Ember McCracken of Spartanburg, SC; two brothers, William (Anita) Brown of St. Petersburg, FL and James (Margie) Brown of Ellwood City; one sister, Dorothy J. (Edward) Moyer of New Castle; two grandchildren, Christopher Dietrich and Steven Dietrich, both of New Castle; three step grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Nicklas. Visitation will be held from 10 - 12 on Monday at First Assembly of God, 2021 Pulaski Road, New Castle. A funeral service will be held at the church immediately following visitation on Monday at 12 noon with Rev. Chad Stoecker officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Memorial contributions may be made in Dianna's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be offered to the family at cunninghamfh.com
