Dolly E. Stiver, age 78, of New Castle, passed away the morning of January 18, 2016 at Jameson Hospital. Born September 21, 1937 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Howard and Ella Scott Oliphant. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, W. Paul Stiver, whom she married July 14, 1956. Dolly was a graduate of Shenango High School in 1956. She was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and their three children. She attended First Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting dolls, cooking, and most importantly, loved being with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Cindy (Shawn) Hackett of New Castle; two sons, Rick(Mary Beth) Stiver and Jeff (Jodi) Stiver all of New Castle; and one grandson, Tyler Stiver. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mabel Stephenson; and four brothers, Cecil, Ron, Ed and Don Oliphant. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Yergan officiating.
